STEVEN LEIBEL
Steven Leibel is Of Counsel to Alexander & Associates. Mr. Leibel focuses his practice on representing businesses and individuals in a wide variety of cases, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, employment discrimination, personal injury, and government law. His practice also includes issues involving education law, such as students with disabilities, the First Amendment, and other constitutional issues. Throughout his career, he has obtained record verdicts for his clients. He has been named a Super Lawyer for five (5) consecutive years by his peers and has been practicing law for thirty (30) years.
Mr. Leibel serves as a Municipal Court Judge and is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta Lawyers Club. Mr. Leibel is a graduate of both Leadership Sandy Springs and Leadership Lumpkin County. He serves as a
Commission Member of The Brain & Spinal Injury Trust Fund for the State of Georgia. He is also a member of the Board of The First Citizens Bank of Georgia.
He has lectured at the State Bar Association Annual Update Seminar, and is a member of the North Georgia College State University Business
Advisory Council.
Mr. Leibel writes expert columns for the 400 Edition Magazine and the Southern Beverage Journal. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and is a member of the Board of Education Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Mr. Leibel received his law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1980, where he was elected President of the Emory International Law Society. He received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Queens College of the City University of New York. Upon graduation, Mr. Liebel was a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board.
Mr. Leibel is admitted to both the State Bar of Georgia and the District of Columbia Bar.
