GLINTON R. DARIEN, JR.
Glinton R. Darien, Jr., is a senior partner of Alexander & Associates. Practicing law for twenty-five years, Mr. Darien received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College and was awarded the degree of juris doctor by the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Darien successfully represented the University of Florida in the Frederick L. Douglas National Moot Court Competition.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Darien specialized in real estate and commercial litigation. Mr. Darien currently specializes in civil litigation, focusing on all areas of employment, education, and workers’ compensation law, representing clients in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Alexander & Associates, Mr. Darien was a senior associate in the Orlando, Florida, office of Lowndes, Dresdick, Dosler, Kantor & Reed, P.A., where he represented clients in litigation related to the defense of lender liability claims, and served as first chair for the representation of lenders in all phases of foreclosure and replevin actions, as well as the representation of corporate entities before city governmental boards. Mr. Darien gained extensive experience in land use matters, including variances, re-zoning, special exceptions, and collection litigation cases. Mr. Darien also served as in-house counsel for a major title-insurance underwriter, where he was responsible for handling title insurance litigation claims, defalcations and collection cases, in addition to the supervision of other attorneys in the legal department.
Currently, Mr. Darien is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of Florida, the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Georgia School Board Association. Mr. Darien is admitted to practice before the Florida and Georgia state courts, all of the Florida federal courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
